Complaints
If you believe that the counselor/evaluator has violated your privacy rights, you have the right to file a complaint in writing with the counselor/evaluator/privacy officer via the address outlined above or with the Secretary of Health and Human Services at 200 Independence Avenue, SW Washington DC 20201 or by calling (202) 619-0257.  The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology. Complaints can be submitted by mail to 1801 Congress Avenue, Ste. 7.300, Austin, Texas 78701, or by phone at 1-800-821-3205.
